Before transitioning into marketing, Madison worked for MLive Media Group, where she developed her skills in communication, content creation, and uncovering the stories that connect with people most. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Western Michigan University.
At Behavioral Elements, Madison plays a key role in developing and executing marketing initiatives that strengthen the organization’s voice, expand its reach, and support its mission of helping individuals and teams better understand human behavior. Outside of work, she enjoys getting lost in a good book and attending concerts whenever she can.

In her role, Dr. Makulski collaborates closely with Behavioral Elements Guides to design new courses and resources that bring the Behavioral Elements framework to life. Her primary Element is Water, which reflects her collaborative spirit and passion for working with teams on meaningful projects.
Among her proudest contributions is the creation of “Sharing is Caring,” a monthly post series hosted in the Behavioral Elements Mighty Network. This initiative fosters community, reflection, and growth by encouraging Guides to share small but powerful insights that support one another’s journey.
Dr. Makulski holds a Ph.D. in Educational Technology, with her research focusing on how games shape learning. Her dissertation explored how novice players learn Magic The Gathering, sparking her continued interest in the neuroscience and subconscious processes activated through play.
Beyond professional work, she enjoys spending time with her family, and her dog AlliGator (named after the Florida Gators football team).
